Bubble Head

Good_4 Bubble2You know, it's really hard to write about something you don't have strong feelings about. I neither liked nor hated Doc Johnson's Bubblehead. It's another in a growing line of toys that vibrate and rotate - and I'm not impressed with any of them. I didn't much care for the jelly material it's made of, and I found the "bubbles" a bit too rough for my delicate insides. However, the vibration gets pretty strong and the rotating movement can feel like petting on your clit if you do it right. It's a pretty good toy especially if you're fond of the rotating-type. I'm not. So you're on your own.

Ruby Red Spinner Baton

Awesome_2 PyrexThe Ruby Red Spinner Baton is a great first pyrex dildo. It is beautiful, it is streamlined, and its smallish size is perfect for those intimidated by huge phalluses. Each end of this toy feels different, and I love the way it starts out cold and warms to body temperature with use. It's hard and unyielding, but in this case, that's a really good thing.

If you are unfamiliar with pyrex, let me enlighten you. It's awesome! It's safe (meaning it is nonporous and can be sterilized in boiling water or dishwasher), it's practically unbreakable, and it can be warmed in water or cooled in the fridge or freezer. Phallix also does really cool things with the colors and textures of their pyrex dildos. The downside is that pyrex is expensive, but it's well worth the price.

Love Prism

Dud_3

Prism_3 I was dubious when I saw this toy on the shelf, but I bought it anyway. It's made of a hard and flexible material that smells kind of funny. It's got no moving parts, so no instructions were necessary.

I applaud Doc Johnson for their innovative design, but it really didn't work for me. It looks more like a prop from a movie than a toy, and while I was using it, I couldn't help remembering back when I was too young and shy to shop for actual sex toys and would try out anything longer than it was wide. This toy, while pretty, has too many corners for my soft insides. I tried the big end and the small end, and I've come to the conclusion that the natural shape is superior. It may be somewhat boring, but it works.

Vixskin: Bandit

Awesome_1 Silicone_bandit_lrgI've got only one thing to say about this new dildo - Holy Shit! I've never felt anything like it in a toy. Yes, it's just a plain, non-vibrating, dick-shaped toy, BUT the Bandit is made of this new silicone stuff that the folks at Vixen Creations are calling Vixskin. It feels a whole lot like real skin and warms to the touch quickly. It's the closest thing to a real penis that I have had the pleasure of experiencing. When it arrived I couldn't wait to try it out. I dropped what I was doing and ran to the bedroom to give myself a good fucking. I didn't stop until I came twice - hard. I have played with it several times since its maiden voyage, and coupled with my favorite vibe, it's pounded me through more than a dozen really intense orgasms. Wow!

The Devil Dildo

It finally happened. Here we are on 6/6/06. Awesome. Assuming nothing biblical happens, I think this is as good an excuse as any to get naughty. It just so happens that I have the perfect review for today - the Devil dildo by Divine Interventions. These wackos offer a range of wonderfully offensive, handmade silicone toys. The Devil not your thing? Fine. Choose from offerings like Buhdda's Delight, the Grim Reaper and Jackhammer Jesus. My friend Bella tried this one out for me. She said she liked the feel, but the shape was a little uncomfortable for her. Bah! These things are definitely a style over substance statement. Buy one, try one and you can honestly say you have had the devil inside you. Rock on.

Doppelgangsta (repost w/pics)

Silicone_dopp_lrgThis has to be the best named toy yet. The "Doppelgangsta" is the name, but I seriously doubt it will ever be involved in a drive-by anything. This baby is 13.5 inches of smooth, flexible, double-sided silicone fun. One side is straight with a bulb at the end, and the other is bumpy. Just holding it reminded me of squished clay - until I started to use it. One rule for silicone toys is you gotta use lube, so I squirted some on and got to work. Wow, I love this thing. It's soft and firm, it's big enough to hang onto, and it gives just the right amount when my muscles tighten around it. There are some toys out there that are actually a bit painful for me to cum around. This is not one of them. This may be the closest in feeling to a real penis so far. I can't wait to get someone to climb onto the other end with me - for a second opinion, of course.

Art Deco AC/DC Double Dong

7015214 The AC/DC Double Dong's purpose is clear - double penetration. One end goes into the vagina, and one end goes into the anus. I kept passing this one up in the store because, while it's really pretty in the package, I thought "Crystalessence Material" was hard plastic or something, and that means it would have to be exactly the right size. As it turns out, I was wrong on one hand and right on another. It is, indeed, made of flexible stuff (unfortunately, it's that sticky, almost jelly stuff that really needs lube to be comfortable), but it does need to be the just the right size. I found that while I was trying to use the thing, I was squeezing the "U" tighter. In effect, I liked the double penetrating, one-handed toy, but it wasn't as comfortable or as easy to use as it should be. Using two toys is still the way to go for me. That way, each can follow my curves individually. So I guess, IF you like double penetration and IF you happen to be just big enough to match the Double Dong, this could be the very best toy in the world. As for me, I'll probably drag this one out of the drawer only occassionally.

Crystal Jellie Dong

C261 I suppose I should say something about the basic dildo. Yes, that’s right, the non-vibrating, fake penis. They come in all shapes, colors, and sizes now. (I remember when they were all made of that almost-flesh colored latex stuff.) Some are realistic, some are smooth, some are straight, some are curved, etc. etc. etc. I currently own several dildos, and each one feels different. I think the most noticeable differences are size (obviously) and the material they’re made of. I used a realistic, latex dildo for a long time, but then I discovered that, for me, the jellie dildos feel better. This particular one is part of the Vac-U-Lock Attachments line, which is a thingy that attaches dildos to harnesses or other goodies. Over the past few days, I've played with this pink dildo and its partner (that i will introduce you to in a future review) a lot. That explains the smile on my face. So, I'd say get yourself a dildo pronto. And, don't rule out any material before you try it. I love the soft give of my jellie just as much as I love the cold, hard beauty of my glass dildo.

Crystal Sparkler Scepter

Mylibida_1868_18194331 If you've ever used any of the glass or acrylic dildos, you'll probably agree that they all share a similar feel. Since they're smooth, once lubed, they slide and move around with almost no resistance. So you really feel the size and the shape of the toy. The Scepter is cool because it's . . . well, it's huge. It's the first toy I've ever owned that could be used to club someone if the need arose. Just kidding. It is, however, big and pretty, and it does feel good wherever you stick it. It's also double sided for double the fun. The Scepter (and its buddy, the Excalibur) are on the pricey side, but not as expensive as a glass one of similar size would be. So if you like 'em big and hard and pretty, as I do, this is a good purchase.

XTC Pleasure Curve

6663458I picked up the Pleasure Curve because it looks so funky. It's not your standard penis-shaped dildo, so I had to take it home with me. Different equals good, at least every once in a while. It's made out of acrylic, so it feels a lot like a glass dildo but is lighter and a hell of a lot cheaper. With a little lubricant, the Curve slides in easily, and the bend in it makes it gentle on your wrist. It doesn't go in very deep but can reach the g-spot with no problem. You can also apply as much pressure as you want. I like to combine playing with this one with one of my favorite vibrators.

Bendables Vertebrae Vibes

6650467_4 The Bendable Vibe caught my eye because it looks so damn cool. It's long (8 3/4") and transparent purple, with three smooth, silver studs in it. (I have an unreasonable attraction to studs and rings and buckles and stuff like that.) It has the twist on/off switch that I'm not so fond of, but I figured what the heck. So I bought it, rushed home, and unwrapped it, anxious to see how it worked. I played with the bendies first. They don't stay as bent and I would have liked. The jelly skin has too much memory and wants to pull it straight again. The vibration is ok - not too strong, not too weak - but not enough to push me over the edge. Again, too much jelly for the vibe to get through. The dildo felt okay (a little too thin and pointy for my tastes), and the studs rubbing on my g-spot were interesting. It only lasted through a few uses before the on/off switch broke. All in all, I'd say this one is okay for some foreplay, but it's definitely not going to replace any old faithfuls.

Shane's World Rechargeable Infrared Playpal

6745693 This vibe is cool.  First off, it's rechargeable.  Using these things while plugged in always made me a bit nervous.  With this one, you plug it in for a while and then use it.  Plus, you don't have to search your drawers for anymore AA batteries.  Second it has an infrared light on the tip that you can turn on separate from the vibrator.  Now I've always thought that a light on a vibrator, considering where it goes, was silly, but the warming effect is kind of nice.  Something a little different is always appreciated.  It eats up the power faster than the two-speed vibrator alone, but that's no biggie since you can just plug it back in when you're done.  I give this one a thumbs up!

Alexa's My Wicked "Nubby" Satisfier

6663807 I don't know who Alexa is, but she definitely has some idea of how to make a good vibrator.  I picked this one up because the "nubby" end was something I hadn't seen before.  The nubs are molded plastic, and I guessed they would feel especially good on my g-spot.  It has the twist-on type switch, which in my experience breaks faster than any other type of on/off switch.  Other than that, it seems well made.  I haven't killed mine yet.  The transition from low to high is smooth, and the highest setting is pretty powerful.  It's in my regular rotation now because the good, strong vibration makes me cum every time.  Hard.  And I was right, the bumps really do feel good on my g-spot.

Sue Johanson Royal Swirl

Product_thumb_1897 The Royal Swirl has an unusual yet familiar shape -- kind of like a real penis with a twist.  It's kind of heavy for its size, and the silicone is a bit sticky to the touch.  The package suggests using lubricant for "maximum pleasure."  Another twist-on/off type switch provides a smooth transition from low to high, and the vibration is good and strong.  After making this bad boy all slippery, I put it to the test.  The ridges felt good in my pussy and very good on my clit.  Unfortunately, the vibration wasn't quite enough to finish me off, so I grabbed an old reliable.  I don't think I'll be using this one on its own, but the Swirl will work just fine with a partner or in conjunction with another toy.

I took these pictures myself in the bathroom mirror.  It was really tricky trying to masturbate while holding a camera, choose a shot and keep my balance in the limited space between the mirror and the bathroom wall.  I hope you like the result.
