Ruby Red Spinner Baton

The Ruby Red Spinner Baton is a great first pyrex dildo. It is beautiful, it is streamlined, and its smallish size is perfect for those intimidated by huge phalluses. Each end of this toy feels different, and I love the way it starts out cold and warms to body temperature with use. It's hard and unyielding, but in this case, that's a really good thing.

If you are unfamiliar with pyrex, let me enlighten you. It's awesome! It's safe (meaning it is nonporous and can be sterilized in boiling water or dishwasher), it's practically unbreakable, and it can be warmed in water or cooled in the fridge or freezer. Phallix also does really cool things with the colors and textures of their pyrex dildos. The downside is that pyrex is expensive, but it's well worth the price.

Crystal Sleevz

The Crystal Sleevz set is a 7" vibrator with two jelly sleeves that fit snugly over the vibe. The vibrator is a slender one with a pretty powerful motor and the usual twist low-to-high knob on the bottom. The sleeves come in two shapes: one lifelike and the other with a curved tip for hitting your g-spot.

They both feel pretty damn good, and the vibration carries through the jelly just fine. My biggest complaint, though, is that the jelly feels cheap and sticky. I actually yanked out a few hairs that got stuck to it when I put it in my mouth to wet it. Ouch! I guess you gotta use lube instead of spit with this toy.

Iris by Lelo

The Iris by Lelo is an amazing device. It's the first I've seen with two motors and a rechargeable battery. Yes, that means you have to plug it in for four hours or so before the first time you use it. I was so anxious to try mine when I got it, but I was patient. Wow, it was worth the wait! The pink part is medical grade silicone, and it's splashproof and quiet too. The rigid curve makes hitting the g-spot easy, and the flower-like sculpt delivers some really interesting sensations. The button is a lockable toggle switch, which may be the only weak spot on this thing. The awkwardness of the switch is easily overlooked once the vibrations start. Toggling the switch side to side slides the vibe from low to high, while toggling it up and down cycles through its five patterns. They are: 1) crown, continuous; 2) base, continuous; 3) both, short pulse; 4), both, long pulse; 5) both, continuous. The Iris is well made, sturdy, and I am thoroughly impressed with it.

Vixskin: Bandit

I've got only one thing to say about this new dildo - Holy Shit! I've never felt anything like it in a toy. Yes, it's just a plain, non-vibrating, dick-shaped toy, BUT the Bandit is made of this new silicone stuff that the folks at Vixen Creations are calling Vixskin. It feels a whole lot like real skin and warms to the touch quickly. It's the closest thing to a real penis that I have had the pleasure of experiencing. When it arrived I couldn't wait to try it out. I dropped what I was doing and ran to the bedroom to give myself a good fucking. I didn't stop until I came twice - hard. This has to be the best named toy yet. The "Doppelgangsta" is the name, but I seriously doubt it will ever be involved in a drive-by anything. This baby is 13.5 inches of smooth, flexible, double-sided silicone fun. One side is straight with a bulb at the end, and the other is bumpy. Just holding it reminded me of squished clay - until I started to use it. One rule for silicone toys is you gotta use lube, so I squirted some on and got to work. Wow, I love this thing. It's soft and firm, it's big enough to hang onto, and it gives just the right amount when my muscles tighten around it. There are some toys out there that are actually a bit painful for me to cum around. This is not one of them. This may be the closest in feeling to a real penis so far. Natural Contours - Liberte

The Liberte is another in the Natural Contours line of vibrators. The entire line is sleek and ergonomically designed to comfortably fit in the hand and against the body, each with a slightly different focus. This one is longer and thinner than the rest so that it can reach the g-spot. It has a button that cycles through high, medium, and low settings, and the Liberte has a bonus pulsating setting. It puts out a good range of intensity, but I'm not so sure about the pulse feature. I prefer using intermittent vibrations as a warm up, and a steady vibration to climax. The Liberte pulses with the strongest of the three settings. When I started teasing with the pulse setting and then switched to the low, steady setting to begin my climb to orgasm, it kind of lost something. So, I find myself using a pulse - high combination or a low - medium - high combination. And it feels awesome tucked inside, set on high, while my other hand is free to roam. Hey, options are good.

Layaspot

This little baby is the Layaspot vibrator by Fun Factory. It's so cute, measuring less than 4 inches long and coming in a variety of color combinations. It came snugly packaged in a nice, little box with info on two flaps held together with a magnet - a little overkill, but it adds to the perceived value. It's design is comfy in the hand and on my other curves too. It has a "+ / -" rocker switch to increase the vibration, which is a little awkward to use without looking, but those little switches have a lot of range. I understand that it's even waterproof. Hot tub, anyone? 

The best part is this baby delivers quite a bang! I could hardly believe it. It's so small, but it turns out that's an advantage. It nestles in right on my clit. Initially, I was disappointed. My first test run left me wanting. To be fair though, I thought I'd give it another shot. Boy, am I glad I did! I discovered that the batteries it came with were crap. Art Deco AC/DC Double Dong

The AC/DC Double Dong's purpose is clear - double penetration. One end goes into the vagina, and one end goes into the anus. I kept passing this one up in the store because, while it's really pretty in the package, I thought "Crystalessence Material" was hard plastic or something, and that means it would have to be exactly the right size. As it turns out, I was wrong on one hand and right on another. It is, indeed, made of flexible stuff (unfortunately, it's that sticky, almost jelly stuff that really needs lube to be comfortable), but it does need to be the just the right size. I found that while I was trying to use the thing, I was squeezing the "U" tighter. In effect, I liked the double penetrating, one-handed toy, but it wasn't as comfortable or as easy to use as it should be. Using two toys is still the way to go for me. That way, each can follow my curves individually. So I guess, IF you like double penetration and IF you happen to be just big enough to match the Double Dong, this could be the very best toy in the world. As for me, I'll probably drag this one out of the drawer only occassionally.

 

The Pearl Thong

Since I first heard about the Pearl Thong, I've wanted to try them out. I finally got my wish. All I have to say is Wow! I love these things. These panties are everything I hoped they would be! They're pretty and a hellofa lot of fun. They're made of stretch lace and a string of fake pearls, and here's the concept, you wear them like regular panties. Simple! While you walk around, the pearls rub on your clit making you constantly aware of your pussy. I took a late-night walk to the corner store with them on as my first test drive. The Ultime is quiet and comfortable to use. The bend is intended to help you reach the g-spot but I found that it sits real well on your clit too. Crystal Sparkler Scepter

If you've ever used any of the glass or acrylic dildos, you'll probably agree that they all share a similar feel. Since they're smooth, once lubed, they slide and move around with almost no resistance. So you really feel the size and the shape of the toy. The Scepter is cool because it's . . . well, it's huge. It's the first toy I've ever owned that could be used to club someone if the need arose. Just kidding. It is, however, big and pretty, and it does feel good wherever you stick it. It's also double sided for double the fun. The Scepter (and its buddy, the Excalibur) are on the pricey side, but not as expensive as a glass one of similar size would be. So if you like 'em big and hard and pretty, as I do, this is a good purchase.

Spartacus Adjustable Nipple Clamps

I can't believe I haven't had a pair of nipple clamps until now. What was I thinking? These things are great! They're adjustable so you can make them as harsh or easy as your tolerance level demands. I, for one, know that the more turned on I get the more I can handle. It's nice to be able to start out slow and build. Or, if these come in late in the game, they can be applied tightly right away. Then, whoever is in charge can pull or wiggle the chain at will causing waves of intensity. The Tower

It's full name is The Tower Multi-speed Soft Jelly Vibrator. It comes in two colors. I picked up the obnoxious, neon orange one. The Tower kind of looks like an electric chess piece (the bishop, to be exact), but I figured I'd take it for a test drive since it wasn't that expensive. I got it home, washed it off, powered it up, and put it through its paces. The vibration is nice and strong, way stronger than I expected from any vibrating, jelly toy. (Color me pleasantly surprised. This new jelly material is really growing on me.) It tickled on my clit, but the real pleasure came when I slid it inside. Its tapered shape makes doing just that easy, and when it's all the way in, the vibrating mechanism is sitting in all good places. I had to add another vibe to my clit to achieve orgasm, but it felt comfortable to squeeze the jelly part when I did it. The downsides are the on/off knob seems flaky and the shape of the Tower doesn't leave much to hold onto when it is inserted. It's way too convenient to pull on the cord, which everyone knows is death to electronics. In spite of these things, I recommend the Tower for its inexpensive comfort.

 

XTC Pleasure Curve

I picked up the Pleasure Curve because it looks so funky. It's not your standard penis-shaped dildo, so I had to take it home with me. Different equals good, at least every once in a while. It's made out of acrylic, so it feels a lot like a glass dildo but is lighter and a hell of a lot cheaper. With a little lubricant, the Curve slides in easily, and the bend in it makes it gentle on your wrist. It doesn't go in very deep but can reach the g-spot with no problem. You can also apply as much pressure as you want. I like to combine playing with this one with one of my favorite vibrators.

    

The Blind Jockey

I'm sure some of you have used all sorts of things to blindfold your partners. Neckties and scarves are good and handy. I actually own several blindfolds. So, why the review you might ask? Because I found the most comfortable one ever. No more pressure on your eyes keeping them closed. (No smudged make-up either, ladies. Yay!) This blindfold is cupped so you can blink and move your eyes, but it's secure enough so you can't see a thing. It's awesome!  It's made of cowhide and lined with shearling sheepskin.  Use caution if you're sensitive to wool. This little guy is so cute; I just had to take it home. For all you computer users out there, the control of the Silk Touch Egg will feel right at home in your hand, similar to a small mouse. You plug the curly cord into it and "click" the button through its six settings, which vibrate and pulse at different speeds. One design flaw, in my opinion, is it really needs an on/off switch. I put mine in my toybox with the egg unplugged. The button got pressed by something, and the batteries ran out of juice. It's very disappointing to grab a toy only to find it's dead. The silky surface and the bumps on the egg feel really good everywhere I put it, and the vibration is good. It can push me over the edge but not reliably. Definitely a great warm up though.

Flex-O-Pleaser Vibrating Wand

I love my Flex-O-Pleaser. It's another version of a bullet vibrator on a stick, which I think is a great idea because it puts the vibration right where you need it. It's a long thing, which on one hand, means you don't have to do a lot of reaching, but on the other, it takes up a lot of room in your toy box. The angle made it easy to reach my g-spot and rest on my clit. The sliding switch is in a good position for thumb control, and the range from low to high is better than most so you can find just the right speed. OK that was a very cold review of one of my favorites. I've gone through half a dozen of these over the years and who knows how many times it's made me cum. It's the kind of toy that brings a smile to my face every time.

The Liberator

The Liberator is a set of foam shapes designed to help you and your partner (or partners) get into whatever position you (or they) want.  I'm not going to beat around the bush - these things are amazing.  They are the kind of thing you realize you needed all along the minute you try them.  I have played with the first four shapes:  the Wedge, the Ramp, the Stage and the Cube.  They are big, comfy and encourage experimentation.  If there is anything wrong with them it is their size.  They are so large that it can be hard to find a place to put them and the largest of them can be awkward (handles or handholds on the sides would have helped).  The shapes come with two removable, washable covers that protect and enhance them.  The blue ones are soft, and the purple ones are waterproof.  The blue is the most versatile.  When you set one on top of the other, the blue covers kind of stick to each other so they don't slide around.  My favorite of the four is the wedge.  No more cramming pillows under your hips to get just the right height.  The wedge/ramp combo is the best though.  They sell them together, so I guess I'm not the only one who thinks so.  Everyone I have shared them with has loved them as much as I have.  I understand there are two new shapes too.  Hopefully, I'll be able to try these someday and let you know what I think.

Waternberg Pin Wheel

I'm not sure what the "magnetic" business in the title is all about.  This is a narrow vibe with a nice weight that fits comfortably in the hand.  The on/off is a twist in the middle.  I got the 6" version; I hear there's a 4" version out there too.  The vibration is good and strong, and I had high hopes for its performance.  I'm not sure why but I really wanted to like it.  Alas, no luck.  It just didn't push me over the edge.  I can't really figure out why either.  Maybe my body just isn't responding to the "magnetic flow and powerful massaging vibrations".  I think the metal ball under the cover is too small, which makes the vibration too focused for me.  Maybe it just needed a second, higher speed.  We shall see.  I'm not quite done with it.  I like the way it feels on my clit, and if I do get an orgasm from it, I'll let you know.

Shane's World Rechargeable Infrared Playpal

This vibe is cool.  First off, it's rechargeable.  Using these things while plugged in always made me a bit nervous.  With this one, you plug it in for a while and then use it.  Plus, you don't have to search your drawers for anymore AA batteries.  Second it has an infrared light on the tip that you can turn on separate from the vibrator.  Now I've always thought that a light on a vibrator, considering where it goes, was silly, but the warming effect is kind of nice.  Something a little different is always appreciated.  It eats up the power faster than the two-speed vibrator alone, but that's no biggie since you can just plug it back in when you're done.  I give this one a thumbs up!
